Silicone can be kept in the freezer too, so if you're going out and have some food that should be kept cooler, pop your box in the freezer for a period of time beforehand it will stay cool for a while when you're out! You can also microwave it (without the lid) to warm the food up, or even oven it! (up to 210 degrees) And of course you can put them in the dishwasher.
